Eve + Tom's Wedding

Saturday 12th June 2027

We're very much looking forward to celebrating with you all. We'll share exact timings a bit closer to the date once we've worked them out properly.

We're also planning:

• Friday: some casual drinks
• Sunday: a BBQ (or something along those lines)

No pressure at all to come to these – just there if you fancy making a weekend of it.

The ceremony and reception are at:

Log Cabin, Ravensheugh Beach, Tyninghame, Dunbar, East Lothian, EH42 1XW

It's right by the sea and honestly very nice – we've done well there.

By car

It's just off the A1:

• From North Berwick – about 15 minutes
• From Edinburgh – about 50 minutes
• From Dunbar – about 10 minutes

By train

• Nearest station: Dunbar (around 20 mins from Edinburgh)
• Then about a 10-minute taxi

By bus

• Buses run between Edinburgh, Dunbar and North Berwick
• Nearest stop is Limetree Walk
• Then it's a 25–30 minute walk

Worth noting: that last bit is through woodland, so a taxi is probably the better shout.

Definitely worth booking taxis in advance, especially for getting home.

There's limited parking on-site, plus a larger car park about a 15–20 minute walk away.

The walk is through woodland, so sensible shoes are a good idea (those in heels may regret it).

We'll prioritise on-site parking for anyone who needs it, so please let us know if that's you. Otherwise, taxis can drop you right at the venue.

There are lots of options nearby – hotels, cottages, glamping, and camping.

• It can get chilly by the coast (even in June), so bring layers

Self-catering

There are plenty of Airbnbs and holiday cottages around Tyninghame and East Lothian if you fancy something more flexible (or are coming as a group).

We're planning to keep this a kid-free wedding (apart from babies in arms).

The venue is right by the coast with cliffs and uneven ground, so it's not the safest place for small children to be running around.

That said, we know childcare isn't always straightforward – if you're really stuck, just let us know and we'll do our best to work something out.

More on this nearer the time – no need to worry about it just yet.

Wear what you like – just be aware it's outdoors and by the sea, so maybe plan for all four seasons in one day.

We have already confirmed a wonderful caterer who will be cooking up a feast for us. Please don't forget to let us know on the RSVP form about any dietary needs you have. We'll be providing wine, beer and soft drinks throughout the day, so no one's going thirsty.

We'd love it if guests could bring a bottle of something nice (spirits or otherwise) to help stock the bar – totally optional, but very much appreciated. It will definitely get drunk at some point over the weekend!
